陳宜艷 / I-Yen Chen

1990 生於台北，目前於德國弗萊堡生活、創作。

2014年畢業於國立臺灣大學歷史系後轉向探討當代藝術，2016年自維多利亞藝術學院（Victorian Colleage of the Arts）完成當代藝術碩士學位，創作至今。

作為一名創作者，陳宜艷總是被生活的脆弱和周遭環境的瞬息萬變所牽引，透過創作，她時刻檢視著人與外在環境的關係，探討無法被輕易看見的「風景（landscape）」：情感的、政治的、記憶的風景。透過複合媒材、裝置藝術的形式，我試圖呈現：人與外在的關係，是從人作為主體出發的。透過夢、慾望、情感，人們企圖形塑外在環境的面貌，進而在環境中得到安定與認同。因此風景並不是客觀、恆久不變的，反之，是充滿個人慾望與主觀的投射。

自2015－2016研究所就學期間，陳宜艷發展了一系列，名為「Metaphorical Landscape（隱喻的山水）」的創作，她爾後的創作始終圍繞在譬喻與風景的兩個母題上。近期的創作延續了她過去幾年關注的議題：邊界、感官、隱喻的風景，從表象的視覺經驗深入到每一個觸覺背後所指涉的生活界線，探討人與外在環境兩造既依存又衝突的消長。

自2016年起，陳宜艷經常往返於澳洲墨爾本與臺北兩地創作。

並於2021年移居至德國弗萊堡。
