Flowing Water, Bordered Stones

The flowing water is soft, and intangible. It can surround anything in any shape, and flow into any space. On the contrary, stone is solid, stable. It will not drift with the current, neither will it change its shape. In traditional Chinese gardening, water and stone are also metaphors for the natural landscape. It is not just a representation of nature, but also the idealized, spiritual world of its creator.

Each audience member is a floating island, ferrying feelings and thoughts, flowing with the stream, encountering the world created and creating their encountered world.
